Vocabulary from 10/22 to 12/3


  1. leisurely (adj) - acting or done at leisure; unhurried or relaxed
  2. fiasco (n) - a thing that is a complete failure, especially in a humiliating way
  3. improvise (v) - produce or make from whatever is available
  4. modest (adj) - unassuming or moderate in the estimation of one's abilities or achievements
  5. conservation (n) - preservation, protection, or restoration of the natural environment
  6. compassion (n) - sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others
  7. intimidate (v) - frighten (someone) in order to make them do what one wants
  8. exhibition (n) - a display or demonstration of a particular skill
  9. persistence (n) - the quality that allows someone to continue doing something
